Contributor Spotlight: Anjali Barot

We are excited to share with you a small part of a beautiful poem called Equanimity by our wonderful contributor Anjali Barot. Anjali is a South London poet and writer who is a member of Octavia, a poetry collective for women of colour supported by Southbank Centre. She often collaborates with painters and photographers to enhance her words through visual art, as her goal is to make poetry more accessible and experimental outside of it's traditional written form.

Dreams of open fields,
of twenty day harvests;
A calm when the bee lands in our mouth
with the buzz of soil
still on its breath.
— Equanimity by Anjali Barot
